Vanzelfsprekend gaat het er bij een stoel (zeker bij een schommelstoel) vooral om, dat hij goed zit. Maar het is toch wel zo plezierig, als hij óók nog esthetisch genoegen biedt? In dit ontwerp is daarom aan de details ruimschoots aandacht geschonken. De bekledingsstof werd zorgvuldig uitgezocht en de patinering van het ijzerwerk is heel subtiel op deze stof afgestemd.

It goes without saying that for a chair (particularly for a rocking chair), good seating characteristics are most important. But isn't it an added bonus, if at the same time it also offers esthetical pleasure? For that reason, special attention was paid to the details in this design. The fabric was carefully chosen and the patina given to the iron was very subtly matched to this cloth.
